Misconceptions About Coaching

“A coach tells you what to do”

Reality: Coaching is collaborative, not directive

“You need clear goals before you start”

Reality: Clarity often comes from coaching, not before it.

“As an accredited ADHD coach, I can diagnose you”

Reality: I am not a psychiatrist and therefore cannot diagnose ADHD or other neurodivergent conditions. I can however point you in the right direction if that is a path you are wishing to take.

“Coaching is about increasing productivity”

Reality: It can and does help with action, but coaching also works with emotion, identity, and self-trust.
