About Me
Hi, I’m Jess!
I came to coaching through my own experience of burnout, neurodivergence, and the slow, painful process of learning what authenticity actually means.
For years I had built and lived a life that looked successful on the outside, but inside was far from that. I was a Deputy Head teacher in a Primary School - a career I loved and felt incredibly passionate about. However, no matter what school I was at, I couldn’t find the magic ‘work-life balance’ that everyone kept telling me to find. After a number of attempts at slowing me down, my body finally screamed stop with a bout of Glandular Fever and what I now understand to be neurodivergent burnout. I left my career in education (it wasn’t easy walking away), received an ADHD diagnosis (aha ‘it all makes sense’), and began the work of unravelling and rebuilding.
I knew I still wanted to work in a people centred environment and I had a passion for understanding more about neurodivergence.
I trained to become a SOAC-accredited coach, because ethics and standards matter deeply to me. It is currently the only ICF accredited ADHD Course in the UK. I’m now completing my ICF accreditation to continue strengthening my practice.
My coaching is person-centred, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. It is your space to explore and grow. I will hold that space for you, listen and reflect. Coaching is guided by you.
Hear me talk about why I started The Authentic Space.
